Press Release: Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Builds Sleek New Brand Image

Award-Winning Builder and Developer Debuts New Logo, Tagline and Website to Reflect Bold Outlook and Current Standing in Atlanta Marketplace

Acadia Homes Neighborhoods New Website - October 2014 (web)Atlanta, October 7, 2014 – After four highly successful years in the Atlanta housing market, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is suddenly building something other than houses: a sleek new brand image. With more than 20 communities throughout the metro area and a slew of accolades to its credit, the award-winning homebuilder is happy to shed its extremely effective “A New Builder For A New Time” tagline as the company looks ahead to an extremely promising future. The combined debut of a new logo, tagline and website serve to celebrate Acadia’s departure from the image that helped launch its success over the course of the last four years. During a year that has included the opening of a 4500 square foot state-of-the-art Design Gallery and placement at #9 among Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta, Acadia Homes is proud to proclaim that it’s “All About You.”

“I will always have a particular fondness for our original ‘New Builder For A New Time’ tagline, as it really helped identify us to Atlanta home buyers during a time when they were very leery of the ‘old guard’ leading out of the housing market crash,” explains Gregg Goldenberg, President and CEO of Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “However, after just four short years, we are at a point in time when we’re more than ready to assume the role of an established and trusted builder. Since our debut in 2010, we’ve made the Top Ten of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta twice and have been honored with several awards – including a 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty Award for Customer Service Excellence, a number of OBIEs from the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and the 2013 Pacesetter Award from Atlanta Business Chronicle where we earned our place at #5 among Atlanta’s fastest growing, privately held companies. The new ‘All About You” tagline truly reflects the attitude at the heart of our company as it has been from day one. Everything we do, from concept to completion, is all about the home buyer. We want them to have an unsurpassed home buying experience, that is second only to the actual ownership of their new Acadia home.”

In addition to the tagline, the home builder has recently debuted a crisper, cleaner logo and an image-centric website designed by Rearview Advertising that features:

  • Responsive design to make the website accessible on phone, tablet and desktop devices
  • Community filter to narrow the home search based on numerous preferences ranging from number of bedrooms and baths to price point, amenity features and location
  • Larger product images to better showcase the beautiful homes for which Acadia has based its reputation
  • Upgraded floor plan module which allows for easy navigation of available plans, elevations, virtual tours and details

To view Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ new logo, tagline and website, prospective home buyers and their real estate partners are encouraged to visit www.acadiahomes.com.

On Saturday, October 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., more than 10,000 guests are expected to flood the streets of the historic downtown area for a parade and festival that showcases live entertainment, arts & crafts, rock climbing wall, children’s inflatables, exotic petting zoo, video game truck, festival food, face painting, and more. The parade kicks off at 9:30 sharp with Fox 5 Atlanta’s Cynne Simpson as Grand Marshall. Homes in Parks at Durham Lakes are priced from the $190,000’s and feature expansive interiors of up to 3,365 square feet, in addition to upscale options such as three-car garages and gourmet kitchens with islands.

Parks at Durham Lakes Dining RoomThe reception from homebuyers to Parks at Durham Lakes has been exceptional, thanks in large part to Acadia’s commitment to excellence, great on-site sales staff, serene setting, ease-of-commute via I-85 and true sense of community. Poised against a picturesque backdrop that includes a lake near the amenity center, loads of greenspace, wide open spaces, and lots of mature trees, we’ve added to the appeal of the surroundings with professional landscaping, well-maintained amenities and – that for which Acadia is perhaps best known – quality constructed homes with luxury appointments and reasonable price tags. Our homeowners also enjoy close proximity to schools within two miles, a newly renovated public park within one mile, a charming downtown area just a little over two miles away, and a highly revered country club with 18-hole golf course within walking distance, as well as an eclectic array of shops and restaurants throughout the City of Fairburn. In addition to the Fairburn Fall Festival, this Southern city is also extremely well known as home to the Georgia Renaissance Festival each Spring.

Acadia Homes Proud to Have a Presence in Georgia’s “Most Affluent” Town

RiverDistrict_ext

On September 9, Business Insider’s Andy Kiersz released his article “Here’s the Most Affluent Town in Every State.” Some of the towns on the list were really no big surprise – like Kiawah Island, SC; Chevy Chase, MD; and Dover, MA – but even WE didn’t see this one coming. The most affluent town in the state of Georgia is Berkeley Lake. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is not only proud to have a presence in Berkeley Lake in our stunning waterfront community – The River District, but we are also very excited to begin building in nearby Berkeley Hills Estates.

Candidates for “Most Affluent” town were selected on the basis of their status as a legally incorporated city or town with at least 1,000 residents (according to the 2008-2012 American Community Survey) and median household income. The median income for Berkeley Lake is $131,944.  Offering an extraordinary balance of breathtaking scenery and graceful opulence, Acadia Homes’ River District is situated within the City of Berkeley Lake on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. Designed to provide its residents with the height of exclusivity and privacy, this gated community showcases resort-quality amenities and a limited number of distinctive homes from Acadia’s Signature Collection.  We are delighted to announce that all homes in this community are currently under contract.

The great news is, Acadia Homes will begin building SOON in our new nearby community – Berkeley Hills Estates.  Although technically located inside Duluth city limits, Berkeley Hills Estates is less than 5 miles from River District and the affluence of Berkeley Lake. Priced from the high $200s, Berkeley Hills Estates poised between the rich history and Main Street charm of the City of Norcross and the progressive outlook and community-focused allure of the City of Duluth. Future residents of Berkeley Hills Estates will enjoy easy access to I-85, wonderful restaurants, delightful boutiques, popular brand stores, and the renowned Berkeley Hills Country Club – which is celebrating an impressive 50-year tradition of championship golf and world-class amenities such as an aquatic center, tennis complex, and more. As a matter of fact, Berkeley Hills Estates is situated on what once served as the distinguished club’s sprawling and scenic third nine course.  Its towering pines and lush landscape are what first drew Acadia here, and we’re expecting a similarly favorable response from Atlanta homebuyers looking for a beautiful home in an excellent location. To add to the undeniable allure, we will be introducing an impressive collection of thoughtfully designed and exquisitely executed single family homes throughout the lovely new sidewalk community. Students living in Berkeley Hills Estates will have access to a number of excellent public and private schools such as Beaver Ridge Elementary, Summerour Middle, Norcross High, Wesleyan School and Greater Atlanta Christian School.

To learn more about Berkeley Hills Estates, please visit the community page on www.acadiahomes.us. If you wish to have your name placed on an early interest list for when the community is open to pre-sales, call 678.822.2626 or send an e-mail to sales@acadiahomes.us.

Acadia Homes Now Building in Four of the Ten Best Places to Retire in Georgia

The-Streetscapes-at-Acadias-Manor-Park-in-Marietta-Hearken-Back-to-Another-Era-1024x491

In September 2014, the credit card comparison and financial education website – CreditDonkey.com – released its list of Ten Best Cities to Retire in Georgia. To determine which cities to place on the list, CreditDonkey looked to U.S. Census data for Georgia’s incorporated cities with a population of at least 20,000, and then examined each to see how they ranked with regard to five categories that included: Senior Population, Housing, Income, Recreation, and Healthcare/social assistance. When all was said and done, making the list were four cities where Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is either currently building or is about to break ground:

#6) Gainesville:  Boasting a 9.5% population of residents over 65, a median household income of $32,139 for the 65+ set, a highly touted hospital system in Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and a big beautiful lake for fishing and boating, Gainesville is a natural choice for active adults and retirees.  It was also a natural choice for Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods – which is currently building in McKinley Crossing, located less than 2 miles from the boat ramp, grills, picnic tables, swimming area and playground at Keith’s Bridge Park on the shores of Georgia’s Great Lake. Poised near the historic city’s charming town center, McKinley Crossing features beautifully crafted four- and five-bedroom Craftsman-style homes priced from the $220,000’s – many of which boast rocking chair front porches and spacious living spaces, adding to the “Southern Hospitality” feel that is synonymous with an historic city like Gainesville. Two very popular floorplans among active adults who prefer to keep their living spaces on one level are the Hartwell and the Sinclair (both of which are also available at Covenant Place in Powder Springs, Bakers Farm in Braselton, and Parks at Durham Lakes in Fairburn.)

#4) Duluth:  With 8.3% of the population aged 65+, a median household income of $42,031 for the 65+ set, and a community-focused atmosphere featuring a lively arts scene and jam-packed calendar of events at the Town Green, there’s an awful lot for retirees to love about Duluth. Acadia’s soon-to-launch Berkeley Hills Estates – featuring beautiful homes priced from the high $200,000’s – is sure to be among them. Towering pines and lush landscape are the hallmarks of this lovely Gwinnett County community.

#3) Roswell: Laying claim to 10.6% of the population aged 65 or greater, a median household income of $55,347 among 65+ residents, and a wealth of colorful history dating back to before the Civil War, it’s no surprise that Roswell made it in the top three. Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods was also drawn here for it’s amazing town square, art community, treasure trove of eclectic shops and imaginative restaurants, and proximity to the Chattahoochee River. The builder is excited to debut Village on Pine – an intimate enclave of just 15 homes. Designed to celebrate the classic beauty and Southern charm that is synonymous with a town that played such a significant role in Georgia’s history, homes in Village on Pine will co-exist magnificently with the antebellum mansions and estates that are poised just around the corner, including the Archibald Smith Plantation, Bulloch Hall and Barrington Hall. Future residents of Village on Pine will also enjoy strolls along the scenic Vickery Creek Trail and attendance at open air concerts at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore – which regularly plays host to such recognizable and varied artists as James Taylor, Keith Urban, and more. Homes in Village on Pine will be priced from the $400,000’s.

#2) Marietta: Nearly topping the list with 9.8% of the population at 65 or older, a median household income of $38,702 among 65+ residents, and a sublime and historic square, Marietta has enormous appeal for retirees and active adults. The renowned Marietta Square regularly plays host to a bevy of community events that include farmers markets, festivals, open air concerts and more. Radiating out from the square is a terrific collection of shops and dining establishments. Located within strolling distance of the square is Acadia’s Manor Park – which boasts an exclusive collection of “cottage”-inspired homes priced from the mid-$300,000’s that feature timeless elevations, thoughtfully-laid floorplans, luxury appointments and rear-entry garages. All homes in Manor Park reflect the undeniable charm of the distinctive Cobb County sidewalk community that surrounds them.

Award-Winning Builder and Developer Lands on Atlanta Business Chronicle’s List of Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta for Second Year in a Row

Atlanta, September 2, 2014 – In August 2014, Atlanta Business Chronicle released its list of the Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta – which includes such nationally recognized builders as John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, Ryland Homes and D.R. Horton. After first debuting its signature brand of quality craftsmanship and thoughtfully designed homes just four short years ago, Atlanta-based Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is proud to have made the list for the second year in a row. Having landed in the Top 10 at #10 for the first time in 2013, this rapidly rising star in the metro area’s recovering homebuilding industry is elated with its new standing at #9 on the Atlanta Business Chronicle list for 2014. The leadership at the award-winning Atlanta homebuilder and developer has every intention of maintaining Acadia’s upward climb.

“We’ve had an incredible reception from Atlanta home buyers ever since our launch in 2010, and this past year was filled with some really exciting milestones,” explains company president & CEO, Gregg Goldenberg. “Acadia has entered a number of highly sought after markets where we had not previously had a presence – such as family-friendly Gwinnett County and the City of Alpharetta. We were honored with several awards – including a 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty Award for Customer Service Excellence, three OBIE Awards from the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and the 2013 Pacesetter Award from Atlanta Business Chronicle where we earned our place at #5 among Atlanta’s fastest growing, privately held companies. But what was perhaps most promising for the future of this company was the day we opened the doors to our state-of-the-art Design Gallery – which brings Acadia’s home buying experience to an entirely new level. The response to this new service offering has been remarkable. During this time, we’ve also grown our team to include a number of seasoned industry movers and shakers, as well as several visionary and energetic up-and-comers.”

With no signs of slowing down throughout the remainder of 2014 and into 2015, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods currently has 19 communities throughout Metro Atlanta. Five more communities are in development in Cobb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett and Hall Counties – with even more on the way.  For further information – including a complete list of communities, available homes, and exclusive floorplans – prospective homebuyers and their agents are invited to visit www.acadiahomes.com.

Game Day Central: Floorplans by Acadia Homes Prove a Touchdown for Football Fans

stockvault-stadium-seating114092-Robert-Malin-300x200

Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods prides itself on imaginative floorplans that are designed for the REAL WORLD. We understand that a kitchen might occasionally serve as an after school gathering space for teenagers who like to nosh while finishing up their homework, just as a study might function as an impromptu guest bedroom during the holidays and a mudroom might serve as a gardening shed during the spring. With the kickoff of football season officially underway, we fully realize that it’s important for die-hard fans to have a space that they feel is conducive to game-watching. Whether they plan to wear full body paint and invite everyone and their mother to join them for game-time or they like to fly solo with the sound turned all the way up so they feel as though they’re actually sitting in the stands, Acadia Homes offers a number of terrific floorplans to suit the needs of any kind of football fan.

With the exception of our homes that offer basements (which are ideal for a dedicated game watching space), Acadia Homes also has a number of floorplans that feature spacious media rooms or two-story great rooms that will serve as the perfect answer to the next best thing to being there. Media rooms with wall mounted big screens and overstuffed reclining sofas can offer an intimate and immersive experience, while two-story great rooms with surround sound provide more of a larger-than-life, pseudo-stadium feel (not to mention, the concession stand/kitchen is right next door – making it a “snap” to replenish snacks during halftime).
