Scare up Some Halloween Fun Near These Acadia Communities

halloween pumpkin on black backgroundFall is one of our favorite times of year here at Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods!  It’s a time associated with beautiful changes – which is pretty much what we’re all about, too! Add in a frightfully fun holiday like Halloween, and we’re happier than a witch in a broom factory! To enhance your own Halloween happiness, we’ve compiled a list of great events and attractions at Acadia Homes communities around town….

Corn on the Cobb in Powder Springs: Located at Stills Family Farm, Corn on the Cobb features a corn maze, hay rides, kiddie zip line, pumpkin patch and more for some great family fun. The best part is, it’s near Acadia Homes’ Reece Farms and Covenant Place communities. Spend the day getting lost in a corn maze, and then find your way “home” in one of our great neighborhoods nearby!

Smyrna’s Fall Jonquil Festival: Set for October 25 and 26 at Smyrna’s Village Green, the autumn installment of this semi-annual festival will feature the inaugural Children’s Halloween Costume Parade, arts & crafts, festival food, live entertainment, kid-friendly activities, and jonquil bulbs for planting. Once again, you’re in luck with regard to the festival’s proximity to a couple of terrific Acadia communities – Sherwood Park with its final opportunities and the newly opened Sutton Park – which is now pre-selling beautifully appointed townhomes from the $300’s.

Haints & Saints Halloween Parade in Downtown Decatur: Located less than 2 miles from our trendy detached townhome community of Kirkwood Green, the iconic and historic Decatur Square will play host to the annual Haints & Saints Halloween Parade on Sunday, October 26. The parade rolls out from the Decatur Post Office beginning at 4, but get there early to snag a good spot along the parade route!

Trick or Treat on the Square in Downtown Gainesville:  On October 31, the historic and hauntingly quaint square at the heart of Gainesville will play host to trick-or-treaters aged 12 and under from 3 to 5 p.m. Before you head that way, pay a visit to our McKinley Crossing community near the hauntingly beautiful waters of Lake Lanier.

Lawrenceville Ghost Tours: This year-round “scary stroll” through the historic Lawrenceville Square takes on a particularly spooky slant thanks to the addition of the haunted cemetery tour. Before the sun goes down, be sure to visit Jacobs Farm – featuring single family homes on large lots, unbelievably priced from the low $200,000’s. This newest addition to Acadia Homes’ lineup is now pre-selling!

A Cauldron Full of Halloween Activities in Alpharetta: Perhaps one of the most vibrant cities outside of Atlanta itself, the City of Alpharetta is primed and ready for a number of Halloween happenings over the course of the coming week. Only the brave of heart dare enter the halls of the House on Horror Hill or walk the spooky streets of the city’s historic district during a HOWLpharetta Ghost Tour. Merry making monsters are sure to love the Halloween Party at Jekyll Brewing, while pint-sized phantoms will likely prefer events like Trick or Treating at North Point Mall, the weekend-long Grand Opening of Avalon with Fireworks ON Halloween, and Topgolf’s Putts and Pumpkins Annual Kidzone Halloween Party. It’s no WONDER why Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods selected Alpharetta as the site for our equally family-friendly Woodland Cove community!

Press Release: Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods Builds Sleek New Brand Image

Award-Winning Builder and Developer Debuts New Logo, Tagline and Website to Reflect Bold Outlook and Current Standing in Atlanta Marketplace

Acadia Homes Neighborhoods New Website - October 2014 (web)Atlanta, October 7, 2014 – After four highly successful years in the Atlanta housing market, Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods is suddenly building something other than houses: a sleek new brand image. With more than 20 communities throughout the metro area and a slew of accolades to its credit, the award-winning homebuilder is happy to shed its extremely effective “A New Builder For A New Time” tagline as the company looks ahead to an extremely promising future. The combined debut of a new logo, tagline and website serve to celebrate Acadia’s departure from the image that helped launch its success over the course of the last four years. During a year that has included the opening of a 4500 square foot state-of-the-art Design Gallery and placement at #9 among Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta, Acadia Homes is proud to proclaim that it’s “All About You.”

“I will always have a particular fondness for our original ‘New Builder For A New Time’ tagline, as it really helped identify us to Atlanta home buyers during a time when they were very leery of the ‘old guard’ leading out of the housing market crash,” explains Gregg Goldenberg, President and CEO of Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods. “However, after just four short years, we are at a point in time when we’re more than ready to assume the role of an established and trusted builder. Since our debut in 2010, we’ve made the Top Ten of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of Top 20 Homebuilders in Atlanta twice and have been honored with several awards – including a 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty Award for Customer Service Excellence, a number of OBIEs from the Sales & Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, and the 2013 Pacesetter Award from Atlanta Business Chronicle where we earned our place at #5 among Atlanta’s fastest growing, privately held companies. The new ‘All About You” tagline truly reflects the attitude at the heart of our company as it has been from day one. Everything we do, from concept to completion, is all about the home buyer. We want them to have an unsurpassed home buying experience, that is second only to the actual ownership of their new Acadia home.”

In addition to the tagline, the home builder has recently debuted a crisper, cleaner logo and an image-centric website designed by Rearview Advertising that features:

  • Responsive design to make the website accessible on phone, tablet and desktop devices
  • Community filter to narrow the home search based on numerous preferences ranging from number of bedrooms and baths to price point, amenity features and location
  • Larger product images to better showcase the beautiful homes for which Acadia has based its reputation
  • Upgraded floor plan module which allows for easy navigation of available plans, elevations, virtual tours and details

To view Acadia Homes & Neighborhoods’ new logo, tagline and website, prospective home buyers and their real estate partners are encouraged to visit www.acadiahomes.com.
